Freckles was adopted! He was such a sweet little guy. He had short legs for his body but he could really jump! Good luck Freckles!!
AHHHH kitties. We miss you at In Stitches! It's gotten cold here, so I'm jealous to hear of the nice weather you're having as we prepare for snow. My sister has finally convinced me to knit her a pair of socks, and there are a LOT of patterns out there! Any recommendations for patterns for a new sock knitter?
ReplyDeleteI used Wendy D. Johnson's Socks from the Toe Up book. It is available at Elmhurst Public Library! I knit a swatch and measured my feet and did a bit of math the first time I knit socks. I knit with 56 stitches on size 0 needles. For heels, you can use Wendy's heels in the book, or I really like Fish Lips Kiss Heel by Sox Therapist (Best $1 pattern I've ever bought). The pattern can look over whelming because there's 16 pages but that's extra information about sizing and how to do the short rows. The pertinent information can all be found on one page.
